OUR STORY
Bananas are North America's favourite fruit. They've also been sold dirt cheap for decades, often at the expense of the people who grow them. We thought that needed to change.
Since 2006, Equifruit has been on a mission to make Fairtrade bananas the new normal. Our bananas come from Ecuador, Colombia, Mexico and Peru, and every single one is Fairtrade-certified.
That means fairer pay for farmers, better working conditions, and a banana industry that finally works for the people behind it.

We’re a regular in the organic banana scene. The USDA certification promotes products that are good for the environment and society. A win-win for everyone!
FAIRTRADE
Fairer pay, safer work conditions, verified social impact. It keeps getting better. The Fairtrade certification organization is 50% owned by farmers meaning certification standards are fundamentally informed by the folks it directly impacts. Sounds super fair, right?
WECONNECT
WEConnect International provides a certification that validates businesses as at least 51% owned, managed, and controlled by women (we’re 100%, HOLLA!!). Nothing but love for ladies!
B CORP
Earning B Corp certification is no cakewalk. It means meeting rigorous standards for social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency. We're proud to be part of a movement using business as a force for good.
FAIR TRADE WORKPLACE
We're a designated Fair Trade Workplace, which means our office runs on Fairtrade coffee, tea and other everyday essentials. We figure if we're going to champion Fairtrade, we should probably stock the kitchen with it too.

ECIP recognized Equifruit with a 5-star Leadership Circle rating for helping push produce supply chains toward higher ethical and environmental standards.
